Synopsis
Be careful what you wish for…
Holly Grey joined the women’s group to keep her friend out of trouble – and now she’s knee-deep in hassle, in the form of apocalyptic weather, armed men, midwifery and a sarcastic Welsh journalist.
Kai has been drawn to darkest Yorkshire by his desire to find out who he really is. What he hadn’t bargained on was getting caught up in amateur magic and dealing with a bunch of women who are trying really hard to make their dreams come true.
Together they realise that getting what you wish for is sometimes just a matter of knowing what it is you want…

Excellent, intelligent modern women’s fiction with intriguingly troubled hero and a posse of entertaining would-be witches who learn to be careful what you wish for.
If you could cast a magic spell to get whatever you wanted. What would you wish for? I’d wish for a sequel to this book.
What I really liked, is that the magic is based in reality. Was it magic? Or everything working out for the best. That is what I think real magic is, not having 100% proof but still believing. Not one over the top nose twitch here.
Kai is a wonderful three dimensional character full of angst and smouldering Welsh-ness. Holly is a strong modern heroine who doesn’t need saving; She lives by her own rules.
It was a lovely story full of redemption, friendship and love. I highly recommend this book, it is a fast paced, action filled, feel good story.
You won’t ever go wrong with a Jane Lovering book, each one is as good as the last one. Happy reading.

Amateur magic brushed with drug smuggling form the background to a delicious romantic read with folk unable to commit pulling through in the end. A highly enjoyable romantic comedy from award-winning author Jane Lovering.

I absolutely adored the characters in Hubble Bubble. Jane Lovering’s characters are flawed and damaged, but strong, fiery and gutsy. Holly and Kai are wonderfully nuanced and relatable and I am sure readers will cheer them on and take them to their hearts. The supporting cast of characters are also terrific and I absolutely adored batty Vivienne, sassy Cerys and kooky Megan. Smart, believable and impossible to resist, Hubble Bubble is the perfect book for readers looking for intelligently- written romantic comedy with bite.

This novel has its ups and downs emotionally, but there are many light-hearted bits too and mysterious happenings in the woods. Are they magical? Or is it someone trying to scare the women away? I love the way the author wound the women’s wishes together and how the resolution of each depended on her interaction with the group. The story moves at a steady pace with highs and lows, but at all times I wanted to know what was happening next.
At the end of the book I was left wondering, did magic have a hand in the results? Or was it just coincidence? I really, really wanted it to be magic. Love this book! Well done, Ms Lovering.
