Synopsis

How do you know if you’ve found Mr Perfect or Mr Perfectly Useless?

Jess Willersey realised things with Martin weren’t perfect, but it’s still a shock when he leaves. Is she destined to a singleton lifestyle with only her cat for company, or could a certain hat-astrophic encounter with a handsome stranger at a rather unusual wedding signal a turning point?

At the same time, Jess’s best friends and work colleagues, Maggie and Sarah, are going through their own personal disasters – from shocking family revelations to dodgy dating app-related drama.

To top it all off, it seems that the handsome stranger won’t remain a stranger – and when Neil Jackson turns up at the friends’ offices with yet another bombshell, how long will he stay ‘Mr Perfect’ in Jess’s eyes?

Available as an eBook & audiobook on all platforms. Paperback available from Amazon.

Anni Rose

Anni Rose

Anni lives in Wiltshire with her husband, her sister, two dogs, a cat and a grey speckled hen. She has had a number of short stories published in various magazines and her work also appears in a number of anthologies.

She has wanted to write for as long as she can remember. As a child, she produced reams of stories. Thankfully most of them have been lost over the years, although the ‘Attack of the Killer Tomatoes’ did resurface recently! And when not writing, she read voraciously.

Work might have got in the way for a while, but writing was a love that never died and she loves it as much now as she did back then.

These days, she writes modern day romances with – spoiler alert – a happy ending and a healthy dollop of humour thrown in.

Away from writing, Anni can usually be found behind a camera, walking her dogs, enjoying her husband’s curries or one of her sister’s bakery treats.

This was a wonderful story of true friendship and romance. The story tied together the three workmates and their friendship in an intriguing manner. Although they have totally different personalities they support and help each other. I loved how the stories were blended together and a great romantic link as well. I read this way too far into the night as I wanted to know what would happen next. If you buy this, please don’t blame me for a long read of an unputdownable book!

I had really enjoyed this author’s first novel and so was looking forward to her next novel – I was certainly not disappointed! Great characters, some unexpected twists and a fun story! Highly recommend!

I wasn’t sure about this one to begin with, until I started to get into the story and interested in how things were going, then I was hooked and really rather enjoyed it – though I was desperate to get to the end for it to work out how I wanted and be happy! The villain didn’t quite get enough come uppance for me! There are a few clever, imaginative and original (to me) little quotables – one in particular springs to mind ‘her heart took refuge in her shoes’. I love things like this that really paint a picture in my mind. It is certainly worth a solid 4 star rating for me.

    Easy reading.
Anni Rose has followed her first book Recipe for Mr Right with Recipe for Mr Perfect, both are worthy of 5* rating.

Three women, Maggie, Jess and Sarah, although spending years working closely together in an account’s office of a small family business, have generally kept their personal lives private.

Suddenly each woman experiences a dramatic change in her home life. Maggie is grieving after the death of her mother. Jess Willersey’s long term partner Martin, unexpectedly leaves her for another woman. And Sarah, who’s searching for Mr Right, once again discovers she’s dating Mr Couldn’t Be Worse.

Their individual crises brings them together and they form a close friendship, each encouraging or even persuading each other to achieve their dream.

This is a delightful romantic comedy about three women who find love where they least expected.

Ideal entertainment for a wet afternoon.
