Treat yourself this summer …
You’ve had Cosy Christmas Treats, now try our summer selection! This collection of sunny short stories is perfect reading whether you’re living it up at the beach, sunning yourself in the garden or sheltering indoors from the Great British summertime.
From breath-taking boat rides on beautiful Greek islands to going on the run through the streets of Paris , from ‘best ever ice cream’ to pasteis de nata in pretty Portuguese cafes, these stories celebrate everything there is to love about summer, home and abroad – including, of course, a bit of holiday romance!
Authors
Stories included are from the following authors:
Jan Baynham, Angela Britnell, Helen Buckley, Ella Cook, Kirsty Ferry, Morton S. Gray, Gina Hollands, Sharon Ibbotson, Margaret James, Marie Laval, Sue McDonagh, Chris Penhall, Anni Rose, Berni Stevens, Carol Thomas and Evonne Wareham
This is a great summer holiday read, a compilation of fun, romantic stories. An easy to pick up and put down book. Stories are written by authors from the Choc Lit stable so you know they will be good. With Mind receiving net proceeds you are supporting a very good cause whilst enjoying a great book.
Another anthology of tasty little treats from Choclit’s lovely authors – what I call a ‘dippy’ book – perfect to dip into for an occasional uplifting nibble (or even be greedy and go for the whole thing!) And as it benefits a worthy charity, then it has to be a good buy and is easy to recommend. Happy dipping!
Wonderful collection of short stories by published authors. Will make you smile, laugh or cry. The story about the ice cream I found particularly touching. All profits go to the charity MIND. A really enjoyable read!
A good read for anytime
This book is like opening a brand new box of Quality Street chocolates, there’s so much to choose from. Where to start, a favourite author or select an unknown. Decisions. Decisions.
Each author has contributed a short summer story which, as 5 minutes or a little longer, will be the right length for a coffee break or a quiet sit down. There are 20 stories, what a bargain. This is a double bargain as proceeds go to the mental health charity, Mind.
You might intend to read only one treat at a time but, like the chocolates, will ‘just the one’ be enough.
