JAN CASEY
Jan Casey was born in London but spent her childhood in Southern California. She was a teacher of English and Drama for many years and has an MA in Creative Writing from Anglia Ruskin University.
Jan writes Historical Fiction about the unsung heroines of World War 2 whose stories have often been whitewashed by history. Her books explore how ordinary people are affected by extraordinary events that are out of their control and she is fascinated by the courage that people display in times of adversity.
Her first five novels were published by Aria Fiction (Head of Zeus). The first of her books for Joffe, The Nowhere Sisters, will be published in May 2026.
She lives in Norwich and has nine grandchildren who keep her out of mischief.
