We have become aware of an increase in scam and phishing emails falsely claiming to be from publishers, literary agents and book retailers.

Please note that all genuine communication from Joffe Books Group — including Joffe Books, Severn House, Lume Books, Choc Lit and The Book Folks — will only ever be sent from an official @joffebooks.com email address.

Scammers are using convincing-looking email addresses and domain names to appear legitimate. For example, emails may appear to come from addresses such as @severnhouse.uk, but these are not associated with Joffe Books Group. Even if an email looks genuine, if it does not come from an @joffebooks.com email address, it is not from one of our editors or members of staff.

We will never ask you to provide passwords or other sensitive information by email, and we encourage everyone to remain cautious of any unexpected or urgent requests for payment, banking details or personal information.
